We have set up working groups composed of representatives of various stakeholders who together focus on four key areas:
• oversight of enforcement
• economic development in rural areas
• open data: making public sector information available
Through these groups we aim to help identify and establish appropriate tools and methodology, as well as effective processes and structures for the best protection and management of shoreland areas across Sweden.
Public administration is provided with these tools and training to develop skills and facilitate the correct and clear implementation of the relevant regulation. Specialist texts, reports, and examples of best practice are also available.
Our website provides a national hub where the public, public administration and businesses can be directed to the appropriate information, resources and contacts regarding shoreland regulations and planning processes.
The Shoreland Commission also organizes conferences and gives seminars across the country, often via the internet.
